Question of the day

OK, the other day the great Jarkoris presented a question to everyone. He wanted to know what motivates a girl to be a pornstar... It was actually hella funny how he stated it but if you didn't get to read it then you missed out. So i was pondering the question and it caused me to come up with a different question...

Every day at about 5am i commute from my house, by meadowdale high, to my work which is in Ballard. And on that drive i pass a coffee stand called "sweet shots". If you know where i'm going with this just bare with me hahah. So this morning i passed "sweet shots" and there was like 8 guys with big trucks lined up waiting to get some coffee. You know why? Because at all hours of the day the girls that work at "sweet shots" wear bikini's. Yea... i know. So here's my question:

Why, oh why, do girls work at coffee stands where they have to wear bikinis?

P.S. Everyday i go from my house to Everett as well to go to the gym and i pass another one of these infamous bikini coffee joints called "grab n go"... how fitting.

Maybe it's just me...

But im jusssst sayin........ Peace, Love and Knowledge

Peace, Love and Baby Boomers

It's been a long couple days

.the bags under my eyes become more and more unnatural.
.the conversations that create a sort of cluttered background music at work are less and less important everyday.
.i've said to myself "let someone else deal with it" more times this month than i can remember.

i'm not gunna' do anything drastic tho don't worry.
(this painting's pretty easy on the eyes)

I found another poem that i really like.... and it just so happens to be about life and death. don't get any wrong ideas however, i already told you im not gunna do anything drastic, DON'T WORRY haha. I just really like it, it goes like this:

suppose
Life is an old man carrying flowers on his head. young death sits in a cafe
smiling, a piece of money held between
his thumb and first finger

(i say "will he buy flowers" to you
and "Death is young
life wears velour trousers
life totters, life has a beard" i

say to you who are silent.--"Do you see
Life? he is there and here,
or that, or this
or nothing or an old man 3 thirds
asleep, on his head
flowers, always crying
to nobody something about les
roses les bluets
yes,
will He buy?
Les belles bottes--oh hear
, pas chères")

and my love slowly answered I think so. But
I think I see someone else

there is a lady, whose name is Afterwards
she is sitting beside young death, is slender;
likes flowers.

-E.E. Cummings.
1925

Do you get it?...ahhh its beautiful. I still don't fully comprehend exactly what he's gettin' at. I feel like this is something Lupe would write a song about haha. Well, hope you enjoyed it as much as i did. And if not, well then refer to line 4.

Air Junior?

It turns out that Jeff Jordan, heir to the thrown, isn't a slam dunk at all. Hahah i should be a collumnist or something. I just read an article about Michael Jordans son and how apparently basketball isn't his thing. As weird as it may seem, it's true. Good for him tho, cuz he ain't beatin himself up over it.

The article states :"The son of the greatest basketball player in history averages just 0.9 points. But you would never guess that by listening to him describe his freshman season at Illinois." It goes on to say: "Yes, it's true. With no athletic scholarship offer, Michael Jordan's oldest boy had to join the Illini as a walk-on. He's averaging a measly 4.2 minutes per game and has made just three shots all season."

It doesn't stop at tests...

So in my last blog, i mentioned how when we don't know the answers to a test we just kinda draw pictures and what not.... maybe that's just me. Mr. Knowles even gave me points for it a few times but i digress hahah. Anyway... Apparently tests and scantrons aren't the only canvas of my liking. haha
You can find these drawings and others like these ones all over my desk at work. What can i say? Sometime work gets boring.... hahah
I'm curious to know who else does this? Because i KNOWWW im not the only one. So feel free to out-do me and post some better stuff, because i wanna see it.

Peace, Love and Ink pens.

(oh yea... these aren't all exactly my originals...i just got inspired and threw my own twist on 'em. But if you're into good drawings you should definately check out Erin Ruiz)
http://www.erinruiz.com/artwork3.html

And y'all thought y'all were creative....

O.K... if you didn't freak out at the begining when ol' boy ATE her... then somethin's wrong with you haha.

You know when you used to take tests in highschool, but you didn't know the answers so you just drew pictures??? Yea, i wonder what Takashi Murakami was drawin'.

This falls into the sit back and imagine category for sure.

I <3 selvedge denim.

Photobucket

Yesterday, Nadejda and I were going to go shopping and the only thing i was gunna buy was a pair of jeans. I was probably too excited to the regular person, but I'm sure all my people on the fashion tip understand how exciting it is to cop a new pair of jeans.

And then i came to the horrible conclusion that i had no money. I don't mean to come off however i may come off, but this has never happened to me before :(. It's not that I've never ran out of money, haha i've done that plenty of times... hahaha. but usually i have money to cover shopping expenses! I did a little extra spending last week on something I've been wanting for a while though so it was well worth it ;). Oh well, next weekend the shopping excursion is goin' down!

I'll get you denim, if it's the last thing i do!

No work and Good music

A post like this can only come from the creativity of the sounds of the one, the only the Saint.
This Cd right here is one of the best things
to happen to me since i found that $20 bill in wave
pool at wild waves hella years back.
Anyways, the story goes like this:
My homie BS and i were hittin' Scidattle (seattle)
to do a little premium shopping. I don't even
remember where we went, i think we hit most
of the shops though. LACED UP! duh. We even hit
GOODS, we got it to 35th, we even hit Zebra
Club! i know i know, you're saying, "Koa, you shop
at Zebra Club?!" but the fact of the matter is, they
DO have a Creative Recreation account. I haven't been
there in Gripp though.
OK where was I? Oh yea, me and BS were contemplating
where to go next. I don't exactly remember what we were
thinking when we decided to make a right into a thrift shop.
Now this place was pretty dirty and gloomy, perfect for a
good find! There was like five trillion old used cd's and vinyl's.
i looked and looked for a few minutes and i found the Saint's
cd, Grown Folk Music. For some reason it caught my eye,
probably because for the previous week or so i was stuck on
gettin' my "grown man on" hahah. So i bought it.... FOR .99
CENTS! Yea, i know. I coulda got 4 McNuggets and felt sick
the rest of the day, ORRRR have a lifetime full of good music.
I chose the latter.
So me and BS, happy with my purchase, get back into
his Durango... not knowing what to expect from this spur
of the moment purchase. We take out "the dedication II",
by Lil Wayne. (Yes HATERS, i still bump Wayne). And we put
in Grown Folk Music. CAPTIVATION. Mannnn. The first track
"another day" comes on... it's almost like some jungle
sounding music, with some doppppe vocal samples. It's a
good sound. But when Track 2 comes on, "Kryptonite"
oooohweeee! hahah that song is STILL the cut. Im serious.
You gotta hear it for yourself.
Anyways, the CD turns out to be DOPE. BS and I are
happy we found it. A couple weeks later i throw a
party and put it in... to be honest i don't really remember
how people reacted ;).
But i didn't care hahaha.
I hit the Saint up on myspace and he turned out to
be a cool guy, so y'all should go to his page, show
him some love, go cop his music, do whatever you
wanna do, just know that this CD is dope
and His new Cd sounds hot too.
